Manchester– Real A. Joubert, 81, died August 31, 2012 at Elliot Hospital following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Manchester on September 4, 1930 the son of Phillipe and Irene (Morelle) Joubert and had been a lifelong resident of Manchester.
He served his country in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He held membership in the Sisters of the Precious Blood League of One Thousand Men.
Family members include his wife of 59 years, Simone T. (Doucette) Joubert of Manchester, 2 sons; Robert A. Joubert of Manchester, Kenneth A. Joubert and his wife Elizabeth of Manchester, 3 grandchildren, Shane Joubert, Shawn Joubert, Shannon Harvey, 4 great grandchildren, 1 sister; Claire Kimball of FL., and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a grandson, Kenneth W. Joubert on April 27, 2010.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10 AM in St. Peter Church, Auburn.
Committal prayers will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
