Joyce, Lucy L. (Burnett) of Quincy, passed away on August 29, 2012. The beloved wife of 60 years to William P. Joyce of Quincy. Cherished mother of Paul Joyce of Jamaica Plain, Stephen Joyce of Quincy, and Laura A. Kobosky of Randolph. Sister of Dianna Vanderkerkhoff of Franklin. Much loved Mother-in -law to Theresa Joyce and Marcus Kobosky. Devoted ‘Nana” to Leanne, Stephen Jr., Amanda , Kerry, Jon and Christina, and “Gigi” to her 7 great grandchildren. Lucy spent many years in Dorchester before moving to Quincy back in 1984. She worked for Sears in Kenmore Square before taking a position at Blue Cross where she worked for many years. Lucy enjoyed reading and cooking but nothing gave her more enjoyment than her family, she was devoted to them and in return they cherished her. She will be sadly missed, but her family is grateful for all the blessings she brought into their lives.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
