Anderson - James Allan Boone, died of natural causes after a short stay at
Community Hospital on Sunday, January 22, 2012. He is now restored being united with the Lord in Heaven.
He was born December 24, 1928 in Sullivan County, Indiana, son of the late Frank and Pauline Boone. He resided at Primrose Retirement Community in Anderson.
He moved to Anderson in 1950 to begin a career at Delco Remy and retired in 1986 after 36 years of service.
Deeply committed to his family, he will be long remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and proud grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Geneva (Collins) Boone and their
children Dale (Jan) Boone, Sandy (Dale) Bennett and Randy (Candy) Collins;
brothers Norvel (Norma), Don (Ruby), Gary (Elaine), sister Doris Bedwell; eight grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Marjorie (Brown), their son Darrell Boone, granddaughter Holly Collins and brothers Lowell Boone and Carl Boone.
Visitation will be from 2:00 - 4:00 PM, Wednesday, January 25 at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service, 229 S. Rangeline Road, Anderson.
Services will follow immediately at 4:00 PM, with Rev. Hervey Lawrence
officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Maria Cemetery, Sullivan County,
Indiana.
