George Dewey Neff, Jr.
June 30, 1924 to February 2, 2012
George Dewey Neff, Jr., age 87 formerly of Markleville, IN; died February 2, 2012 at Rawlins House in Pendleton after a brief illness.
He was born June 30, 1924 in Anderson to George D. & Mary (Antrim) Neff, Sr. and graduated from Markleville High School in 1943.
He was a salesman at a hardware store in New York for 20 years.
He served retired from the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of Order of the Eastern Star; past master of Masonic Lodge in East Hampton, NY; member of Chapter of Royal Arch.
He is survived by his brother Richard Neff, Sr. of Anderson and several nieces and nephews including Richard (Monica) Neff, Jr., Elizabeth Neff, Susan (Lance) Crosby, Penny Jo Neff, Dennis Neff and Connie Hislip; great nieces and nephews Justin Neff, Tabitha Neff, Mitchell Neff, Ricky Neff, Stacey McCullough Shayla Crosby and Amanda Chambers.
He was preceded in death by his wife Helen (Amadin) Neff whom he married in Long Island, NY in 1954 died in 2003 and his brother Bill Neff.
Services will be Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 6:00 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Ned Clark officiating with visitation from 4 to 6 P.M.
