Jeanne M. Hanna-Hughes, of Anderson died at St. John's Hospital March 7, 2012 following a brief illness.
She was born in Morganton, NC to James and Betty (Griffin) Hanna.
She was a teacher for Anderson Community Schools for 30 years before retiring.
She attended Sherman Street Church of God.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years J. Paul Hughes of Anderson whom she married August 17, 1991 in Anderson; 4 children: Carl L. Hughes of Germany; Robert A. Hughes, Jessica Hughes-Thomas both of Kokomo; Carrie (Frank) Langly of Pennington Gap, VA; 2 grandchildren Olivia Smith of Kokomo and Braylon Langley of Pennington Gap, VA; siblings Sandy (Michael) Holmes, Sam (Lori) Hanna of Anderson and Ange (David) Cooksey of Richmond; step-brother Gregg Wolfe of Kansas City, KS; Kris Wolfe of Pendleton; step-sister Pat Fisher of Michigan nephews Matthew(Ashley) Hanna and Andrew Hanna, niece Carly (Ryan) Sexton; nephew Graison Sexton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-brother Don Wolfe; her nephew Kristopher Hanna, her niece Caitlin Sexton and special nephew Larry Cook.
Services will be Monday, March 12, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. William Soetenga and Mrs. Mary Baker officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.
The visitation will be on Sunday, March 11 from 2-6 P.M. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Multiple Myloma Research Center at Indiana University.
