Robert J. Graff, age 38, entered into rest on August 28, 2012 at his home in Prosser. He was born on May 26, 1974 in Sunnyside, Washington to Robert and Kathleen (Rayburn) Graff. He was raised and educated in Prosser and graduated from Prosser High School in1992. He then graduated from Yakima Valley College with an AA degree and went on to Lineman School in Cheney, Washington. On May 18, 2002, Robert and Alison Rhea Cagle were married in Grandview. They lived in Sunnyside until returning to Prosser in 2007.
Robert worked for Century Link as a telephone technician for 19 years. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He was a devoted and loving father and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends on the Schab Ranch.
Robert is survived by his wife, Alison Graff; his daughters, Lanie and Addison Graff, all of Prosser; his parents, John and Kathleen Schab of Prosser; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dave and Kathy Cagle of Grandview; his brothers, Jim Schab of Prosser, John Schab and wife, Marla of Kennewick, Steve Graff and wife, Dana of Pasco, Robin Graff of Boardman, OR, Curtis Graff and wife, Charla of Outlook, and Jeff Joyce and wife, Jessica of Seattle; his brother-in-law, Damon and his wife, Nicole of Maple Valley; his grandmother, Geraldine Rayburn of Grandview and his stepmother, Jean Joyce of Sunnyside. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, Union brothers, many friends and special lifelong friends, Shane Berg and Leif Olsen and cousin, Mike Seyler.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Graff Sr.; grandfather, John Rayburn; and his grandmother, Jennie Schab.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 1, at the Church of the Nazarene in Grandview. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, August 31 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Prosser Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Boys and Girls Club in Prosser.
