Rev. Paul H. Rider, 82, Anderson died April 22, 2012 at Countryside Manor after an extended illness.
Paul was born February 1, 1930 in Huntington, WV to Walter C. and Arrilla E (Odell) Rider.
Paul received a bachelors degree from Anderson College in 1954. He was a Church of God minister 50 years with pastorates in Western, PA; Grand Rapids, MI; Toledo, OH; Atlanta, GA and Stone Mountain, GA for 29 years.
Paul has lived in Anderson since May of 2009 and attended Madison Park Church of God.
He enjoyed teaching workshops and retreats and walking Lake Michigan shoreline with Dorothy.
He is survived by wife Dorothy Lee (Brown) Rider of Anderson whom he married June 24, 1951 in South Charleston, WV; his 2 sons Timothy E. Rider of Atlanta, GA; Stephen (Gina) Rider of Fenton, MI; and his daughter Rhonda (David) Neidert of Anderson; his sister Lorene (Thomas) Bertrand of Texas; 9 grandchildren Sarah (Damon) King; Katie Jo (Matt) Besemer; Karly (Matt) Diktarewicz; David (Caitlin) Neidert; Ashleigh (Danny) Scheel; Kerri Rider; Angelina Rider; Mariah Neidert and Nathan Rider; 9 great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents and 5 brothers.
Memorial service will be Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at South Meridian Church of God with Pastor Rob Mifflin officiating with visitation 1 hour prior.
Cremation took place.
