Johnny Ray "John" Hough
August 21, 1944- May 4, 2012

Johnny Ray "John" Hough, 67, of Madison, Indiana, formerly of Anderson died on May 4, 2012 at his home near Madison, Indiana.

He entered this life on August 21, 1944 in Muncie, Indiana. He was the loving son of John W. and Dorothy Conn Hough.

He was raised in Yorktown, Indiana and graduated high school there. He was raised in the Methodist Church in Yorktown, Indiana. He attended Anderson Area Vocational School. John was united in marriage to Susan Mann and this union was blessed with two daughters and one son.

He was employed with Delco Remy a division of General Motors in Anderson for 35 years as a sheet metal worker. He also served as a union representative for United Auto Workers 662 for many years.

He was united in marriage on July 28, 1994 in Pawley's Island, South Carolina to Joy Elizabeth Snyder. John and Joy moved to Madison, Indiana in 2003 and enjoyed their farm.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and helping his many friends with their various projects. He was a member of the Post 9 Sons of the American Legion in Madison, Indiana.

Johnny will be missed by his loving wife, Joy Elizabeth Snyder Hough of Madison, IN; the mother of his children, Susan Mann of Anderson; his loving daughters, Jayedee Grbic & her husband, Osman of Pendleton, Indiana and Kendra Schlabach & husband, Dave of Anderson; his loving son, Tom Hough & wife, Tammy of Muncie; his loving father and stepmother, John W. & Betty Hough of Yorktown; his mother-in-law, Helen Snyder of Lapel; his loving grandchildren, Max, Shaina, Adam, David, Jonathan, Daniel, Brandon, and Timothy; his brothers, Frank Hough & his wife, Rita of Yorktown, Larry Hough & his wife, Darlene of Nintysix, South Carolina; his sister, Brenda Applegate & her husband, Garry of Yorktown; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lisa Hough of Yorktown, Don & Kelly Snyder of Lapel, and Nancy & Gary Coomer of Springboro, Ohio; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Conn Hough Clark; his step-father, F.L. Clark; his brother, Randy Hough; his father-in-law, Myron Snyder; and his brother-in-law, Jeff Snyder.

Services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 11:00am
at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.

Friends may call Tuesday, May 8, 2012 from 4:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Jefferson Post 9, of the American Legion Honor Guard.
