Francer, Ruth L. (Simmons) 92 of Chelsea and formerly of Quincy and Mattapan passed away on August 31, 2012. Ruth was born in Boston and raised in Quincy. She attended the Quincy Schools and graduated Quincy High School. She loved the Boston Red Sox, bingo and jewelry making. One of her fondest passions in life was her love of cooking. Ruth’s greatest love in life was her family. She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity to others.
Ruth was the devoted mother of Donnalee Rubin and her husband Burton and Carole Sesling. She was the loving daughter of the late Louis Simmons and the late Annie (Cohen) Simmons. She was the dear sister of the late A. Myer Simmons, the late Nelson Simmons and the late Mark Simmons.Ruth was the loving grandmother of Gary, Daniel, Karen, Sharon, Michael and Deborah. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren. She will be remember by her many friends at the assisted living center on Admirals Hill in Chelsea.
