James Harry Jenkins

James Harry Jenkins, age 80, of Anderson died at Community Hospital on May 7, 2012 after a brief illness.
James was born May 3, 1932 in Alexandria to Harry and Dessie (Coen) Jenkins.
He served in the US Navy during the Korean War.
He worked in trucking at Emge's for 44 years and was later a greeter at Wal-Mart in Anderson.
He was a member Quincy Masonic Lodge in Elwood, Alexandria Eagles Lodge; Disabled Veteran. He played softball on several teams, was a Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan, in the Old Timer's Club USAC in Indianapolis , enjoyed woodworking, building models was a NASCAR fan.
He is survived by his 2 daughters Kathy D. (Brian) Ayres of Anderson; Teresa (Billy) Sheets of Bunker Hill, IN; and his son Steven (Jill) Pelsor of Frankton; 7 grandchildren: Jamie (Andy) Dausch, Megan (Adam) Matson, Janae (Scott) Studebaker; Christina (Dustin) Reed, Brandi (David) Huffman, Michael Pelsor (companion Kisha Foor) and Jessy Connor; 11 great grandchildren: Bailey, Colin, Hayden, Andrea, Brady, Mason, Billy, Addeline, Logan, Gavin and Brandon; 3 sisters-in-law: Shirley Holliday, Judy Reed and Beverly McSherry and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Erma Jean Jenkins died on 8-28-2010 and his son Jimmy Joe Jenkins died on 8-13-2003.
Services will be Friday, May 11 at 10:30 A.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with his son-in-law Billy Sheets of Bunker Hill officiating.
Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by VFW Post 266 honor guard.
The visitation will be Thursday, May 10 from 3 PM until 8 PM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Indiana Disabled Veterans.
