Betty L. (Hoffmaster) Shipley Fey, age 84 of Anderson, IN passed away May 20, 2012 after a brief illness.
She was born April 6, 1928 in Anderson, IN, the daughter of the late Warren and Doris (Rose) Hoffmaster. She was raised in Anderson, IN and graduated from Anderson High School in 1946. She is a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Her favorite hobbies were camping, sailing and dancing. She also enjoyed caring for plants and flowers in her garden.
She was previously employed as Co-owner of Shipley & Son Stone Co., Indiana Bell Telephone Co., Guide Lamp, J.C. Penney's and Anderson High School. She married the late Lester Shipley. They had one child, Stephen F. Shipley.
She is survived by her husband, Fred F. Fey; son Stephen F. (Lori) Shipley; four grandchildren, Shayne Shipley, Corey Shipley, Tandi Shipley and Beau Shipley; four great grandchildren Brannen Shipley, Caleb Shipley, Kinley Shipley and Gage Shipley.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Wanda Anderson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, May 24 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Robert Williams officiating.
Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
The visitation will be on Wednesday, May 23, from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Mary's Scholarship Fund.
