Nancy L. Jenkins, 70, of Anderson died on June 9, 2012 at St. John's Health System following an extended illness.
She was born on October 30, 1941 in Rushville, IN.
She was a substitute bus drive for Anderson Community Schools for 8 years and a home health aide for the Elmore family for 10 years.
She enjoyed playing bingo, traveling to Florida, watching the Pacers and NASCAR especially Jimmie Johnson.
She is survived by her 3 sons, Robert (Juliet) Hixson, Rickie (Cindy) Hixson, and Donnie Jenkins all of Anderson; 6 brothers and sisters, Diane Taylor, Barbara Brewer, Brenda (Joe) McKinney, Mary Thomas and Judy Thomas all of Anderson; 5 grandchildren, Michael Hixson, Robert Hixson Jr., Celena Hixson, Dillon Hixson, and Christopher Hixson, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel (Warfield) Thomas Shelton; loving husband, Charles Jenkins in 2009, son, Michael Hixson, and a brother, Larry Thomas.
Services will be Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 1:00pm at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.
The visitation will be from 4:00-7:00pm on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at the funeral home.
