V. Earl Kennedy , 89 of Anderson died at Manor care on June 10, 2012.
He was born August 26, 1922 in Warrington, IN to Lawrence & Gladys Kennedy.
He worked as a food inspector for the USDA for 35 years.
He was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed the simple treasures of life, had a high respect for all God's creations and was an avid animal lover.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (New) Kennedy of Anderson whom he married July 26, 1970; daughter, Merry Purvis of Pendleton; son Richard Thomas of Anderson; granddaughter Courtney (Purvis) (husband Cory) Halbig; several nieces and nephews and several cousins
He was preceded in death by his biological parents and his adoptive parents William & Amelia Kennedy; 2 half sisters "Toots" Tucker and Mabel Norris.
Services will be Thursday, June 14, at 7 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Chaplin Charles Ehrhart of Chesterfield Fire Department and Rev. Timothy Millard officiating.
The visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Our family would like to thank the staff of Manor Care Health Services and Community Cancer Center for all their support, love and compassion during his transition to his eternal heavenly home.
We thank God that he has allowed us to share our lives with this loving man who's spirit will continue to live through his loved ones.
