Joseph Wooten, age 65, of Douglas, GA passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2012, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Wooten was born on July 6, 1947, to the late Marion Elgia Wooten and Oris Solomon Wooten.
Survivors include: daughter, Jean (Wayne) Wooten King, of Douglas, GA; son, Joey (Christina) Wooten, of Douglas, GA; two grandchildren, Ada Wooten and Abby Wooten, both of Douglas, GA, three brothers, Marvin Wooten, of Broxton, GA, Darryle Wooten, of Douglas, GA, and Howard Miller, of Jacksonville, FL; one sister, Nancy Jackson, of Jacksonville, FL. Several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 31, 2012 from 6-9 pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 3 :00 p.m. at Reedy Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Den Weniger officiating. Interment followed at Douglas City Cemetery.
