Funeral services for Henry Arnett, 94, Fitzgerald, GA will be held Sunday, September 2, 2012 at 1:30 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in the Snowridge Cemetery in Ashburn. Mr. Arnett died Thursday in Phoebe Dorminy Medical Center following a brief illness.
Mr. Arnett was born in Elizabethton, TN, the son of the late Petibone and Maude Williams Arnett. He was a retired automobile salesman in Orlando, FL. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II. He was of the Baptist faith and had lived most of his adult life in Orlando, before moving to Rebecca in 1986. He was the widower of Willie “Billie” Israel Sapp Arnett. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Fred Arnett, William Arnett, Wayne Arnett, Orville Arnett, Archie Arnett, and John Arnett, and his sister, Hassie McKeehan.
Mr. Arnett is survived by his son Tim (Lynn) Arnett, Homestead, FL; his step son, Johnny (Audrey) Sapp, Leesburg, GA and two step daughters: Beverly Barlow, Rebecca, GA and Rosenia Lausing, Fitzgerald, GA. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and his brothers, Herbert Arnett, Knoxville, TN and Dewey “Ted" Arnett, Daytona Beach, FL.
The family will receive friends Saturday, September 1, 2012 from 4:00-6:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
