Obituary

Stanley T. Marden, 61, of New Bedford died Friday May 21, 2004 at Hallmark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a brief illness.

Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Willard M. and Agnes May (Jeffers) Marden, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.

Mr. Marden was a member of the Wampanoag Tribe in Aquinnah. He loved fishing.

Survivors include a daughter, Lee Oglesby of New Bedford; three sons, Scott Marden, David Marden, and Albert Marden, all of Wareham; a sister, Anna L. Monteiro of New Bedford; five brothers, Willard Monteiro Jr. of Teaticket, Herbert Marden, Wallace Marden, Leroy Marden, and Lloyd Marden, all of New Bedford; a granddaughter, Dominique Ward; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was the brother of the late Marshall Marden, Robert Marden, Donald Marden, and Richard Marden.

His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday May 25, 2004 at 10 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Monday May 24, 2004 from 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to his family.
