ARTHUR WHITE, 85, of Hingham, died on August 24th, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Boston and raised in Dorchester, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Loretta (Malcolm) White. Arthur went to Commerce High School and graduated from Boston University earning a degree in accounting. Art had worked at Howard Johnson's writing and implementing systems. He then worked at Brigham and Women's Hospital as an auditor until he retired.
He loved hiking and snow shoeing in the White Mountains with his nephew, John Douglas. He also loved working in the garden and on his house.
Husband and best friend of Jean (McArdle) White. He leaves his son Paul White and his wife Joanne of Wakefield and his daughter Sherry Miller and her husband Joseph of Hanover. He was the brother of Loretta "Sally" Hanifan of Weymouth and the late Stella Douglas. Also survived by his 3 grandchildren; Meghan and Matthew White and Valerie Miller. They were the joy of his life. Family always came first.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Sept. 8th at 10 AM at St. Paul's Church, 147 North St., Hingham Square.
