Russell Milton Harmon, Jr.
Oct. 6, 1931 to July 28, 2012

Russell Milton Harmon, Jr. died at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis on July 28, 2012.

Russell was born in Goodland, Indiana October 6, 1931 to Russell M. Bernice Pauline (Kennedy) Harmon, Sr.

He served in the US Navy from 1951 to 1955.

He worked in the heat/treat department of Delco Remy for 40 years before retiring in 1990. He was actively working for Anderson Interstate Auto Auction.

He enjoyed camping especially with their "Happy Cruisers" and Good Sam Club. He enjoyed family and family reunions. He enjoyed visiting in Arkansas with lifetime friend Oppie Payton.

He is survived by his wife Babette (Overholser) Harmon; children Steve(Connie) Duane (Stacy) Mike (Michelle) Harmon; brother Bob (Donetta) Harmon sister Phyllis (Kenny) McNew; grandchildren David Caves; Christy Sylvester(companion Tom Harrison); Stephen Russell Harmon; Madalynn Harmon; Holly Harmon; Ryan Harmon; Chase Buck and Carley Buck; great grandchildren Jasmine Sylvester; Hunter Harrison, Malissa Harrison and Austin Caves.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Debra Harmon Sylvester and his step-mother Ethel Harmon.

Services will be on Thursday, August 2, at 10:00 A.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Rolland Daniels of Madison Park Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with US Navy Funeral Honors.

The visitation will be Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
