Bryan Dwayne Yancey
April 27, 1963- July 29, 2012

Bryan Dwayne Yancey, 49, passed away on July 29, 2012 after enjoying the Brickyard Race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

He was born on April 27, 1963 in Bethesda, Maryland.

He was proud to serve his country, joining the Marines then enlisting in the Army Reserves. He belonged to the American Legion in Muncie.

He had a soft heart for animals, rescuing plenty. He enjoyed spending time with his family, NASCAR, Pacers, Colts, fishing, boating, going to Hoosier Park, and shooting pool. He was proud to walk his daughter down the aisle last weekend.

He worked for Friendly Auto Sales for 20 years in December.

He leaves to cherish his memory, life partner, Brenda New of Muncie; mother, Darlene Gillis of Cicero; He was blessed with four daughters, Kiely Mahurin (Coty Muey and a baby boy due January 1st), Brianne Scott (David Scott) of Anderson, Charley Yancey of Muncie, and Emily Yancey of Muncie; First Grandchild, Myah Mason of Muncie; Brother, David Yancey (Lisa Yancey) of Indianapolis; Nieces, Ali Yancey and Paige Yancey of Indianapolis; a nephew, Alec Yancey of Indianapolis; A host of several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, family and co-workers.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother and grandfather Leisure and his beloved dog, Gracie.

His funeral service will be on Friday, August 3, 2012 at 2:00pm at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. He will be buried in East Maplewood Cemetery.

The visitation will be Friday, August 3, 2012 from 12:00 noon until 2:00PM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to Madison County Humane Society.
