Alta Jean Adams, 86, of Anderson went to be with her Lord July 30, 2012. She died at Community Hospital, after an extended illness.
Alta was born on November 22, 1925 in Anderson to Lilburn and Nettie (Spall) Swinford.
She worked production at Delco Remy 35 years before retiring in 1983.
She was a member of Central Wesleyan Church in Anderson; Community Hospital Auxiliary and American Business Women's Association.
She is survived by her 4 sisters Marcella Garman of Anderson; Carolyn Petro of Venice, FL; Margaret Idlewine of Elwood; Linda Swinford of Bee Branch, Ark; and her brother John Koons of Alexandria; several nieces and nephews including Jan Swinford of Anderson her niece and special care-giver.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald Adams in 1980, her 3 brothers Marvin Lindy & Doug Swinford; and 1 nephew Mike Swinford.
Services will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Ken Sandefur of Central Wesleyan Church officiating.
The visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Community Hospital Auxiliary.
