Bernard Ellsworth Roush

Bernard Ellsworth Roush, 73, of Anderson, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 2, 2012 surrounded by his family at St. John's Health System.
He was born March 6, 1939 in Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania. He was the son of the late David E. and Ethelyn (Lingenfelter) Roush. He is survived by his wife, Della (Henneman) Roush, whom he married in 1960.
He, his wife, and daughters moved to Anderson in September 1963. He worked 39 1/2 years for Best Ever Dairy, now Prairie Farms Dairy, retiring in 2003. Mr. Roush attended New Hope Christian Church. He loved his grandchildren, great grandchildren and his pug dog, "Pudgy".
Bernard leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Della; two daughters Vicky (Rocker) Rieger of Anderson and Tammy (Kurt) Hancher of Chesterfield; four grandchildren; Dustin (Tiffany) Rieger of Pendleton, Andrew Rieger of Anderson; Danielle Hancher of Anderson and Megan Hancher of Chesterfield; three great grandchildren Ethan and Emma Rieger of Pendleton and Brooklynn Hancher of Chesterfield; one sister, Janet Jones of Anderson and three sisters-in-law Ann (Dean) Goughler of Knox, PA; Esther Henneman of Reynoldsville, PA and Joyce Henneman of Punxsutawney, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bernard was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law: Samuel Jones; Miles Henneman and the Rev. Chester Henneman, one sister-in-law Catherine Henneman and three nieces.
Services will be held at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, 229 S. Rangeline Road, Anderson, IN at 11 AM on Monday, August 6, 2012 with Pastor John Hannum officiating. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday August 5 from 2 PM until 7 PM and Monday 1 hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be given to New Hope Christian Church or Alzheimer's Association.
