Evelyn Oliver Hoppes, 86, of Anderson died at Meadowbrook Rehabilitation Center on August 14, 2012 after an extended illness.
She was born February 10, 1926 in Williams, Indiana to John S. and Ora (Hert) Oliver.
She was a telephone operator at Anderson Business and Professional Service for 7 years.
She was a member of D.A.V. Auxiliary. She loved to sew and crochet. She loved passing on family traditions.
She is survived by her daughter Deanne (Erin Oren) Wessar; 3 sons Donald L. Hoppes; Larry J. (Barbara) Hoppes; Brian E. (Marcia) Hoppes; 2 brothers John S. Oliver and Robert C. Oliver; 8 grandchildren Mark (Megan) Hoppes; Sarah (Eddie) Goff; Bonnie (Reed) Brown; Rebecca (Darin) Reynolds; Thomas Riggins; Kylee Wessar; Mia Hoppes; Stella Hoppes; 12 great grandchildren and 2 nieces;
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Quincy Thomas Hoppes and her brother Noland Oliver.
Service will be 11 AM Saturday, August 18, at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. William Mathys officiating. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery in Middletown, IN.
The visitation will be Friday, August 17 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and Saturday from 10 AM until 11 AM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society or St. John's Hospice.
