Timothy Neal Thomas, 56, Anderson, died August 20, 2012 at his residence following complications from extended illness.
He was born November 22, 1955, in Anderson, and was a graduate of Madison Heights High School and served in the United States Navy.
He was employed for 17 years with Jefferson Smith as an electrician and then for 11 years at Excide Battery in Muncie.
He was a member of the Forty and Eight. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his beloved wife, whom he married October 5, 1996, Ruby L. (Ford) Thomas, one son Phillip Nicholas Thomas of Anderson; daughter Nancy Beane of Anderson; his grandchildren Austin Beane and Kaitlyn Beane; his sisters Sue (Jim) Swails of Indianapolis; Elizabeth Thomas of Anderson; Christine (Karl) Schilitz of Chattanooga, TN; Anita Fuller of Anderson; Leona Thomas of Anderson and a brother Leon Nick Thomas of Washington State; several nieces and nephews.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Loretta (Hulis) Thomas and a brother Anthony "Tony" Thomas.
Services will be 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Robert Williams officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery with military graveside rites by VFW Post 266 Honor Guard.
The visitation will be Wednesday, August 22, 2012 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. John's Hospice.
