DUDLEY – Doris J. (Gadbois) Ouellette, age 75, of 6 Lakeside Drive, died Friday, May 21, in Holy Trinity Nursing Center in Worcester after an illness. Her husband of 35 years, John R. Ouellette, died in 1984.
She leaves a daughter, Susan D. Shaw, wife of Robert M Shaw, Jr., of Worcester; 4 sons, Paul R. and his wife Diane Ouellette, and Daniel F. Ouellette, all of Dudley, Robert H. and his wife Kathleen A. Ouellette of Charlton, and David N. and his wife Jacquie Ouellette of Goose Creek, SC; her beloved grandchildren, Jonathan Ouellette of Brighton, Justin Ouellette of Dudley, Katherine, Robert and Spencer Shaw of Worcester, and Jennifer and Pierre Ouellette of South Carolina. She was predeceased by a sister, Rita Hayes, and by a brother, Normand Gadbois.
She was born and raised in New Bedford, a daughter of Napoleon and Cordelia (Bourgeois) Gadbois, and moved here in 1953. She graduated from Saint Anthony’s High School in New Bedford in 1947.
Mrs. Ouellette was a kindergarten aide in the Dudley-Charlton School System for 27 years, retiring in 1996.
The funeral will be held Thursday, May 27, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Road. Burial will be in Corbin Cemetery. Calling hours are from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 26, in the funeral home.
