Nancy A. (Harmon) Harrop, 74, of New Bedford, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She was the wife of Robert A. Harrop.
Daughter of the late Walter L. and Hannah Y. (Manchester) Harmon, Mrs. Harrop was born and raised in Little Compton before to moving to New Bedford. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a housekeeper for St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford. Mrs. Harrop enjoyed working in her yard, spending time with her family and will be remembered as a kind hearted soul.
Survivors besides her loving husband include her daughter: Holly L. DeMello of New Bedford; her sister: Joan D. Tripp of Little Compton; her grandson: Zachary M. DeMello; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Potter Funeral Home.
Calling hours will be Friday from 5-8 P.M.
Interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Tiverton.
