Francis X. Wood age 84 of Sharon passed away August 28th at the Charlwell House in Norwood. Born and raised in Hyde Park, he attended Boston Schools and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a Truck Driver for many years and was a member of Teamsters Local 379 in Boston. He was a member of the Wednesday night AA Group in Sharon for many years. Beloved husband of Elizabeth J. (Gore). Father of Francis X. Jr. of Milford, Stephen D. of Randolph, Richard J. & Kenneth D. both of Sharon & the late Patricia M. Wood. Brother of Catherine Sears of Wrentham & William Wood & his wife Angie of Dedham. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Thursday 5-8 pm. Funeral mass at Our lady of Sorrows Church Sharon Friday morning at 10.
