Josephine Fiantaca, 89 of Westwood, died Monday after a long illness in the Charlwell House, Norwood, MA.
Born in Boston, she lived in Westwood for the past 10 years and formerly of Medford. Josephine was the daughter of the late Nancy (Malvone) and Gaetano Leone. She was a Bank Teller for 25 years with the Federal Reserve Bank in Boston and then with Medford Saving Bank and retired in 1982.
Beloved wife of Angelo Fiantaca Devoted mother of Edward Fiantaca and his wife Jackie of NC, Marygrace Stracqualursi and her husband Dr. Roy of Norwood, Dolores Gilbert and her husband John F. of Methuen, Joanne Costello and her husband Ted of Norwood. Loving grandmother of Michael, Brian, and Mark Fiantaca, Nancy and Kathleen Costello, Christopher Gilbert, and Maria Stracqualursi. Also survived by 10 loving great grandchildren. Sister of Agnes Cunningham, Angelo Leone both of Medford, Louis Leone of Florida, and the late Pasquale and Guy Leone.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
