Obituary

Patricia A. Thompson, 73, of Manchester, NH passed away peacefully following a long illness, at Brigham and Women's Hospital in the Cardiac ICU on August, 26, 2012, surrounded by her loving family.
Patricia was born the youngest of seven children in Philadelphia, PA, August 25, 1939, to Clarence and Edna Felger Potts.
Patricia earned her nursing degree from Wilmington General Hospital School of Nursing in Wilmington, Delaware in 1962. She possessed a true passion for the nursing profession and earned the distinguished honor of class valedictorian. Upon graduation, Patricia worked as a Registered Nurse in the Wilmington General Hospital Blood Bank.
It was while working at Wilmington General Hospital that she met her loving husband of 48 years Dr. Ronald A.Thompson, DDS.
Patricia and her husband moved to Manchester, NH in 1968, to start their family and her husband's endodontic practice. For the remainder of her working career, Patricia enjoyed working alongside her husband as office manager.
Patricia will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family and church have been the joy and center of her life. Her faith in Jesus Christ gave her a great deal of comfort throughout her illness until her passing. She enjoyed travelling with her loved ones around the United States and abroad, but was particularly fond of the many years she has spent visiting Bar Harbor, Maine.
Family members include her beloved husband, Dr. Ronald A.Thompson, of Manchester; her children Pamela A.Thompson, Kathleen B.Thompson, R. Derek Thompson, Steven R.Thompson, all of Manchester. She was also blessed with three grandchildren, Faith L.Thompson, Jacob R.R. Thompson and Elaura A.Thompson; brother-in-law, Anthony Carbonara of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her parents, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

Burial will be private at the NH Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen NH.
