Dorothy M. Kapust
Loving wife, mother and grandmother

TEWKSBURY: Dorothy M. (Doucette) Kapust, age 79, a resident of Tewksbury for 51 years, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 26, 2012, with her family by her side.
She was the beloved wife of 55 years to Edmund L. Kapust, who passed away on December 28, 2011.
Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada on April 8, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Zita (MacKay) Doucette and the late Charles Doucette.
Dorothy was raised in Nova Scotia and Boston, Mass.
She attended Boston schools.
Dorothy and her late husband resided in Dorchester until moving to Tewksbury in 1961.
She was an active member and frequent visitor of the Tewksbury Golden Age Club and Senior Drop-In-Center. In addition, Dorothy was a member of the Tewksbury Red Hat Society.
Dorothy was a communicant of Saint William's Parish of Tewksbury.
Prior to her retirement, she worked for the Sweetheart Plastic Company, Portex Company and Highpoint Rehabilitation all formerly of Wilmington.
She enjoyed traveling with her late husband and family, dancing, craft projects, and spending time with her children and grandchildren, especially at the beach.
She is survived by her four children, Michael E. Kapust and his wife Mary (Rae), David L. Kapust and his wife Paulette (Narus), Debbie (Kapust) Sugrue and her husband Arthur all of Tewksbury, and Linda (Kapust) Baylis and her husband Daniel of Salem, NH; eleven grandchildren, Michael, Kevin, Matthew, Christopher and Brian Kapust, Patrick, Ryan, Danny and Kelli Sugrue, Janelle and Ashley Baylis; one sister, Shirley Beckley of Salisbury; one brother, Donald Doucette of Salisbury; also many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was the sister of the late Charles Doucette.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, Aug. 29, from 4-8 p.m., (G.A.C. Service at 4:30 p.m.) at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Her funeral will be held Thursday, Aug. 30, at 10:30 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m., in St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made payable to Flying Henry's and mailed to Sherry Iuliano, 411 Salem St., Wilmington, MA 01887. All donations received will go to Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
