Margate, FL – Kevin T. Valente, 51, loving husband of Leslieann (Vaudo) Valente, of Westport, died unexpectedly in Florida, Wednesday, May 19, 2004.
He was born in Stoneham, MA, the son Anna M. (King) Valente and the late Leo G. Valente, and grew up in Malden and Medford before moving to Westport in 1989. He was employed as a Healthcare Administrator at Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants in Tamarac, FL and had previously held positions of Executive Director, Practice Administrator, Administrative Director and Clinical Director Consultant at various area hospitals.
He was a retired Lieutenant from the United States Navy and was a Persian Gulf War Veteran. He served as the Hospital Administrator of the Newport Naval Base during the Persian Gulf War. Mr. Valente earned a Bachelor of Science, Sociology / Healthcare from Suffolk University, Boston, MA in 1983 and a Master of Healthcare Administration from Webster University, Chicago, IL in 1986. He graduated from the Naval School of Health Sciences in 1984. He loved listening to the Beatles and watching sports, and was involved in coaching basketball teams in town.
Survivors including his wife and mother are: a son: Christopher T. Valente of Westport; 2 daughters: Cara J. Valente of Westport and Coleen A. Valente of Westport; a brother: Dennis B. Valente of Cotuit, MA; in-laws; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the grandson of the late Adelina Valente.
Memorial Service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at First Congregational Church United Church of Christ, 34 Center Street, Fairhaven at 10:00 A.M.

Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
