Hazel L. Lawton, 94, of Waterman Avenue, died Saturday at the Briarcliff Manor in Johnston. She was the wife of the late Walter E. Lawton. They had been married for 54 years.
Born in Scituate, a daughter of the late Arthur and Adelaide (Stone) Albery. She had lived in Smithfield for 55 years. Mrs. Lawton had worked at the former Ritz Vanity retiring in 1954. During WWII she had worked in CT manufacturing aircraft parts for the war effort.
She leaves her son, Richard W. Lawton and his wife Gail of Smithfield and her grandson Nathan. She was the sister of the late Doris Wilbur and Rita Dacey.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 11am in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Visitation Tuesday 4-7pm. Burial in Phillips Cemetery, Foster. In lieu of flowers donations to Alzheimer’s Association, 245 Waterman Avenue, #306, Providence, RI 02906
