Michael C. Knapp, Sr., 55, of Derry, formerly of Londonderry, died August 22, 2012 at his residence. He was born November 29, 1956 in Chelsea, MA and was a son of the late Charles and Roberta (Winn) Knapp. He was born and raised in Chelsea, and was a longtime resident of the Chelsea area. Michael resided in Londonderry for 11 years, prior to moving to Derry three years ago. He was employed as an electrical engineer with Analog Devices of Woburn, MA for more than 30 years.
Michael leaves behind many people he loved dearly. Members of the family include his son, Michael C. Knapp, Jr. of Manchester, a daughter, Nicole Knapp, of Manchester, eight brothers and sisters, Karen Knapp of Revere, MA, Richard Knapp of Lynn, MA, Debra West of Derry, Alice Enos of Revere, MA, Robert Knapp of Derry, Jacqui Tryder, of Derry, Charlene Thomas of Derry and Kathy Knapp of Revere, MA, his former wife, Carolyn Knapp, of Manchester, his fiancee, Katrina Davy, of Derry, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his beloved dog, Pete.
Calling hours were held Monday August 27, 2012 from 4pm to 8pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. A Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday August 28th at 10am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 23 Crystal Ave., Derry. Cremation followed. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
