Nancy Lee (Faria) Lis, 63, of Londonderry, NH, died Tuesday August 21, 2012 in her home following a lengthy illness. She was born in Lowell, MA on January 3, 1949, a daughter of Evelyn (Houston) Dixon and the late Manuel Faria. Nancy had been a resident of Londonderry for the past three years, formerly living in Litchfield, NH and Lowell, MA. She was educated in the Lowell School System.
Nancy is the beloved wife of Edward L. Lis of Londonderry; the devoted mother of Edward M. Lis and his wife Lillian of Manchester, NH, and Kimberlee L'Heureux and her husband John of Litchfield, NH. She is also survived by her wonderful grandchildren whom she adored very much, Devin L'Heureux and Jeffrey L'Heureux both of Litchfield, Elizabeth A. Lis and her twin granddaughters Alexia Lis and Allyson Lis all of Manchester; her mother Evelyn (Faria) Dixon and stepfather Bertrand Dixon of Lowell; as well as two sisters, Patricia Crawford and her husband Kenneth of Lowell, and Debra Andreoli and her husband Thomas of Lowell.
Calling hours were held on Friday August 24, 2012 from 5 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Liturgy of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday August 25th at 10:00am in St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. The burial followed in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Hudson, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Parish Building Campaign Fund, 435 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH 03053 or to St. Joseph Home & Hospice Care, 24 North River Rd., Milford, NH 03055.
