PETER A. WILSON, a lifelong resident of Hingham, died on Monday, August 20th, 2012 at his home after a long illness. He was 69. He was a graduate of South Shore Agricultural School in Weymouth and then was associated with Hornstra Farm, Kress Farm, the Hood Milk Co. and Hardwick Dairy. He then served for many years with the Hingham Fire Dept. as well as owning and operating his own well known plumbing business. Pete was a member of the Church of St. John the Evangelist in Hingham, the Hingham Firefighter's Association and the Coachmen Car Club.
He was the husband of Patricia A. (Hardwick) Wilson and father of; Patricia A. Sullivan of Hanson, Pamela S. Churchill of Bridgeton, ME, Peter A. Wilson, Jr., Scott W. Wilson and Wayne K. Wilson all of Hingham. Brother of John A. Wilson, James E. Wilson, Sally A. Linscott, Daniel K. Wilson, Jane E. Worrick, Susan E. Howard and the late Frank E. Wilson. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral Services Tuesday, August 28th at 11 AM at the Church of St. John the Evangelist, 172 Main St., Hingham. Visiting hours and flowers omitted by request. Rather than flowers, donations in Pete's memory would be appreciated to the Dana - Farber Cancer Institute, 101 Columbian St., So. Weymouth, MA 02190. The interment is private.
