Brenda Lynette Jones, 73, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on August 20, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Hollis and Rexie McKnight of Clarksville, TN. She was married to the late William Dunlap Jones, III for 25 years. She is survived by her son, Dr. William Dunlap Jones, IV of Oklahoma City, OK; her daughter, Mary Margaret Heaton; her son-in-law, David N. Heaton; and her grandchildren, Caitlin Heaton and Will Heaton of Atlanta, GA.
She was a graduate of Clarksville High and Transylvania University. She also received her degree in Dispute Resolution from Southern Methodist University. She was a long time member and held many leadership positions with East Dallas Christian Church, Northwood Republican Women's Group, Chi Omega Alumnae Group and Northwood Community Group. Brenda was loved by all and was a kind and compassionate woman.
A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery on August 25, 2012 at 1 p.m.
