Elizabeth Marie Howell, 55, of Tifton died Monday, August 20, 2012, at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 24, 2012, at Old Ty Ty Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Ernest Jefferson will officiate with burial to follow in Old Ty Ty Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Jack Howell, Tony Collier, Stanley Howell, Lee Adams, Tony Howell and Larry DeLaney will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 24, 2012, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of the service. The family will be gathering at the home of Nina Espinoza at 805 Chula-Brookfield Road in Chula.
Ms. Howell was born on June 14, 1957 in Clearwater, Florida and was the daughter of Newton Fredrick Howell, Sr. and Roma Lee Howze Howell, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Dorothy Howell Hand; one brother, Roger Howell; and one sister, Connie Howell. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Ms. Howell is survived by one son, John Thomas Smith, Jr. of Tifton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tabatha Adams and Morris Boone and Nina and Roberto Espinoza, all of Tifton; two brothers, Willie (Bo) Howell and Newton Fredrick Howell, Jr., both of Tifton; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Geneva Walters of Tifton, Mary Adams of Fitzgerald and Bonnie and G. W. Horn of Mystic; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
