Obituary

Eleanor M. (Bean) Hall, 90, of Worcester, died Monday, August 20th in the Jewish Healthcare Center. Her husband of 52 years, Martin B. Hall, died in 2001. She leaves a son, Martin J. Hall of Parker, CO; a daughter, JoAnne M. Babin and her husband William of Sutton; five grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two brothers, George J. and John “Ray” Bean, and her daughter in law, Russann H. “Rusty” Hall.

She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Walter J. and Agnes (Conroy) Bean and graduated from the former High School of Commerce in 1939. Mrs. Hall was an executive secretary at American Optical, RCA, Raytheon, and Becker Junior College before retiring. She was a member of Christ the King Church. Mrs. Hall was a World War II U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Her family would like to thank the staffs of Dodge Park Rest Home and the Jewish Healthcare Center for the exceptional and compassionate care they provided.

The funeral is Thursday, August 23rd with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant Street. Please go directly to church. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Jewish Healthcare Center, 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, is directing arrangements.
