Obituary

Peter Ginnetty, of Plymouth, died at home on August 20th surrounded by his loving family at the age of 59. He is survived by his beloved wife Peggy (Darcy) of Plymouth, his son Sean of Plymouth and his daughters Karen Lancer of Norton and Erin Ginnetty of East Wareham. He also leaves his brothers and sisters Arthur, Cathy Ierardi, Paul, Patricia Ierardi, Maureen Sullivan, Neil, John and Jane Smallcomb, and his 3 cherished grandchildren, Liam, Ryan and Molly.

Peter was born in Boston and had graduated from Lesley College with a Masters degree. He began his career with Boston Edison in 1971. He has worked at Pilgrim Station for the last 31 years, most recently as an outage coordinator. He was a member of the choir at St. Bonaventure’s Church, participated in the annual Relay for Life on the Entergy team and had volunteered with the Robotics Team at Plymouth North High School.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, August 22nd at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd, (Rt 3A), Plymouth (Manomet) from 4 to 8 PM. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 23rd at St. Bonaventure’s Church at 10 AM. A private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations in his memory be made to the Jordan Hospital Cancer Center, 275 Sandwich St, Plymouth, MA 02360 or to Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360.
