Obituary

Richard J. “Dick” Quinlan died at his home on Monday May 17, 2004. He was 67. Born in Boston, Dick was raised and educated in Roxbury and Dorchester. He attended Boston University. He also served in the National Guard for 8 years. Dick worked as a Financial Planner for New England Financial for many years. He also served as a Board Member for various companies during his working career. Dick was a Needham resident for the past 24 years. He was a late Member of the Needham Knights of Columbus. Dick is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Jane E. (Dailey) Quinlan of Needham; His 3 children, Richard J. Quinlan II of Brockton, Elaine Sellmayer of Mansfield and Jeanette Quinlan of Brighton. He is the brother of Bernard Quinlan of Framingham, Patricia Tamarro of Rowley, Marylou Sanborn, Margaret Ohmberg, Charles Quinlan all of Walpole, Eleanor Morrison of Danvers, James Quinlan of Braintree, William Quinlan of Billerica, Warren Quinlan of Stoneham, Ann Marie Quinlan of Natick, Michael Quinlan of Quincy, Kathleen D’Ainello of Plainville, Christopher and John Quinlan both of Quincy, Robert Quinlan of Malden and Regina Cuffe of Arlington. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Lauren Sellmayer and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Bartholomew’s Church, 1180 Greendale Avenue, Needham. Relatives and Friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours on Thursday 4-7 p.m. in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Avenue, Needham. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Needham. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dick’s memory may be made to Hospice of the Good Shepherd, 2042 Beacon Street, Newton, MA 02468
