Obituary

Vivian Gail Wiley Nagles, 66, of Chula died Monday, August 20, 2012, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, August 24, 2012, at Macedonia Baptist Church in Chula. Cory Thompson will officiate with burial to follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Chula. Timothy Gray, Thomas Gray, Josh Pferrman, Caleb Stone, Scott Dillard and Jamie Shivers will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Nagles’ special friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 23, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Mrs. Nagles was born on November 8, 1945 in Lenox (Cook County) and was the daughter of William Lee (Bill) Wiley and Ruby Marie Watson Wiley, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, George Hubert Nagles, who died in 2010; one brother, Jimmy Wiley; two sisters, Carrie Ellen Dooley and Helen Dillard; and one grandson, George Jason (J. J.) Pferrman. She was a homemaker and attended Macedonia Baptist Church in Chula.

Mrs. Nagles is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Rhonda and Ray Gray of Enigma, Lisa Nagles of Chula and Lynne and Jimmy Stone of Tifton; four grandchildren and their spouses, Timothy and Danielle Gray, Thomas and Leann Gray, John Anthony (Josh) Pferrman III and his fiancé Tina Raulerson; and Caleb Stone; ten great-grandchildren, Nathan Gray, Kylie Gray, Cheyenne Gray, Nicole Pferrman, Blake Pferrman, Nathan Pferrman, Brentin Shores, Shanna Martin, Colby Martin and Heather Martin; one sister, Sue Wilkes of Adel; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and two honorary daughters, Rose Willis Hopkins and Debra Pitts Moore. She also leaves behind her special friends at Tift Regional Dialysis Center, Hospice of Tiftarea, Dorothy Shirah, the Sumner family of Chula, the Anderson family of Chula, the Montgomery family, the Thompson family, the Matthews family, Genie Sedlick, the Stone family, the Moore family, the Brown family of Chula, the Hill family of Chula, the Mallards of Scooterville, the Wiggins family and Hazel Braggs.
