Richard N. Angelo passed away on August 18, 2012 while competing in the USA Triathalon Nationals, which was his passion. He was 53 years old.
Born and raised in Malden, Rich was a graduate of Malden High School class of 1977 and a graduate of Springfield College in 1981. He was a resident of Lynnfield for 10 years before moving to Beverly were he most recently resided. Rich owned and operated the Rich Angelo Karate Acadamy in Everett, also known as Combined Martial Arts.
Rich was the devoted husband of Cheryl (Imbriano) Angelo, his beloved wife of 12 years. He was the loving son of Florence (Adinolfi) and the late Anthony J. Angelo. Rich was beloved father of Lindsey Angelo-Guarracino and her husband John of N. Andover and Michaela Angelo of Beverly and her companion Jeffrey Schelzi of Stoneham. He was the loving brother of Robert Angelo and his wife Marilou of W. Newbury and Donna Angelo and Susan Angelo both of Lynnfield. Rich was also the loving uncle of Corissa, Nick, Kara, Patricia, Arthur, Dillon and Paul.
The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Wednesday, August 22nd at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Assumption Church, 758 Salem Street, Lynnfield at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Tuesday, August 21st from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be private.
