Elizabeth Thomas Gaudy, 88, of Clarksville, TN, died on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Fieldstone Place Assisted Living. She was born on March 23, 1924 in Montgomery County, Tennessee to the late Carlyle Thomas, Sr. and Irene Farrar Thomas. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Anthony F. Gaudy, Jr.; brother, Carlyle Thomas, Jr.; and sister, Sarah Lillian Stier.
Funeral service will be held at a later date at Florida National Veterans Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
Elizabeth was a Professor of Microbiology at the University of Illinois, Oklahoma State, and University of Delaware.
She is survived by her brother, Joe Thomas of Memphis, TN; sister, Mary Minniehan of Clarksville, TN; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
