Earnie J. Ring, 88, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, May 17, 2004 at Irwin County Hospital, Ocilla, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, May 20, 2004, at the Irwinville Cemetery, with Rev. Bobby Stone officiating.
Mr. Ring was born January 28, 1916 in Ben Hill County, Georgia to the late Arthur Young and Verdie Sweat Ring. He lived most of his life in Fitzgerald and was a former resident of Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Ring was a former employee of Fitzgerald Mills, Dixie Peanut Company, National Park Service and Farm Best Dairies in Jacksonville, FL. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corp.
Mr. Ring is survived by one brother: Young, “Jr.” Ring, Macon, GA and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lanora Erwin Ring.
