Obituary

Allan W. Holbrook, 77, of Franklin died August 18 at home following a long illness. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Peters) Holbrook.
Born in Mendon, April 9, 1935, the son of the late Lewis and Ethel (Larkin) Holbrook, Mr. Holbrook had lived in Franklin for most of his life.
He was a graduate of Franklin High School.
Mr. Holbrook had been an owner of the Carbonated Beverage Services Company of Franklin for over 20 years.
Mr. Holbrook served in the Army during the 1950’s, he was stationed in Germany.
He was an active member of and past Commander of the Medway American Legion Post 367. He was also a member of the Medway V.F.W., the Millis AMVETS and the Franklin Lodge of Elks.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Allan D. Holbrook of Franklin, Gary Holbrook and his wife Deborah of North Attleboro, Sandi LaVerne and her husband Fred of Uxbridge and Jean Tilton and her husband Jim of Millville.
He is also survived by his siblings, Alfred Hook of Palm Springs, CA, Carol Phipps of Portsmouth, VA, and Virginia Beck of Redlands, CA.
He was the brother of the late Suzanne DeLucia who died August 5 and also the late Nelson Hook, David Holbrook and William Holbrook.
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
His funeral service will be held on Thursday August 23 in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber St. Medway at 11:00
Burial will be private at a later date.
Calling hours will in the funeral home of Wednesday from 4-8p.m.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
