In Raynham, August 18, 2012 Maria T. Lopes, age 92 passed away following a lengthy period of failing health in the Life Care Center of Raynham, with her loving family by her side. Maria was the wife of the late Roberto S. Lopes. She was born in Portugal to her late parents Herminio & Maria (Ribeiro) DeCosta. Maria was devoted and caring housewife who cherished her time with family. She was educated in Portugal, before moving to Taunton. Maria is survived by her children: Mario & Maria Lopes of Brazil and Berkley, Paula & Luis Costa of Taunton, Paz & Frank Bonilla of Taunton, Fatima & Joseph Mota of Brockton, Jose & Ana Lopes of Taunton, Grace & Robert Amaral of Taunton, Estrela & Victor Carvalho of Taunton and the late Rosario & Carlos Nunes. Maria leaves her 21 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. She is survived by her siblings Antonieta Marques of Somerville and Guilhermina Mota of Taunton and was predeased by her other five siblings. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Weds., August 22nd at 8am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony’s Church at 9am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Tues. from 5-7pm. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
