Obituary

Priscilla (Pratt) Wright, 86, of Manchester, died August 18, 2012 at The Manor at Birch Hill Terrace after a period of declining health.
She was born in Woburn, MA on May 19, 1926 to Lester and Ardena (Perkins) Pratt. She grew up in Winchester, MA and graduated from Mt. Holyoke College in 1947. She lived in Manchester for most of her life.
Before raising her family, she had worked as a chemist at Dewey and Almy Labs in Cambridge, MA for several years.
Priscilla was an avid gardener with a love of nature. She especially enjoyed birds and outdoor activities, including ice skating, walking, swimming, canoeing and both downhill and cross country skiing.
She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Manchester where she was active on the Flower Committee, the Littlefield Circle and the Women’s Union. She enjoyed many close enduring friendships, some dating back to her childhood, and belonged to several bridge groups that spanned decades.
She was married for 45 years to Dr. Roger H. Wright who was Chief of Medicine at the VA Medical Center in Manchester. He died in 1994. She was also predeceased by a sister, Lucille Ottway.
The family includes four children Susan Stoler and her husband, Frank, of Monmouth Junction, NJ, Marty Patterson and her husband, Tom, of Yorktown Heights, NY, David Wright and his wife, Barbara Shaw, of Boxford, MA, and Bill Wright and his wife, Michelle, of Bedford; six grandchildren, Jill and Adam Stoler, Mike and Nancy Patterson, and Quincy and Julia Wright; and nieces and nephews.
The burial is private and at the convenience of the family.
