Claire Y. (Cote) Johnson 72, of Hollywood Drive, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012 in University of Mass. Hospital, Worcester.
She leaves her husband of 46 years, Robert P. Johnson, a son; Keith A. Johnson and his wife Kym of Charlton, a daughter; Cheryl A. Tremblay and her husband Jeffrey of Holden, 5 grandchildren, a sister; Rita Dunn of Baldwinville and a brother; Bernard Cote.
Claire was born in Fitchburg, a daughter of Edmond and Rose (Pichette) Cote .
She worked as a receptionist for many years and retired in 2004.
Claire was a graduate of St. Bernard’s High School in Fitchburg.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, a member and volunteer at the Charlton Senior Center, enjoyed candlepin bowling, gardening, crafts and jig saw puzzles. She was also a former president of the Hahnemann Hospital Auxillary.
Claire also was the recipient of the 2007 Charlton Community Service Award.
The Funeral will be Thursday, August 23, 2012 with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, 10 H-Putnam Rd., Ext., burial will be in West Ridge Cemetery.
Calling Hours will be Wednesday, August 22, 2012 from 5 to 8 PM at the Robert J. Miller-Charlton Funeral Home, 175 Old Worcester Rd.
