Rehoboth – Kathleen (Kathy) Figueiredo age 53, passed away at home Friday, June 15, 2012. She was born in New Bedford and was the beloved daughter of the late Hilda (Leal) Figueiredo and Edward Figueiredo. Kathy was educated in the New Bedford school system and was a graduate of MTTI with a degree in computer technology.
Kathy enjoyed fishing, cooking, camping, bird watching, candle making in her spare time. She also loved spending quality time with her friends, which were her extended family.
Kailyn and Dillon Arpin who were very special to her called Kathy auntie. They are children of Lisa (who she loved like a daughter) and Peter Arpin of Taunton. Lisa was the daughter of Kathy’s beloved longtime friend and her “Rock” Maryann Tino . She left very many special friends and loved ones Betty Stewart, Linda and Loreen Crossman and family, Tiny, Cindy and Marge McAloon, Tim and Anthony Trinciante, Mary Mckay and family, Joan Lheureux and many more friends and acquaintances.
In accordance with her wishes Kathy was cremated.Burial of her cremains will take place on Tuesday August 21 at 12 pm at St. John’s Cemetery in New Bedford.Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
