Louise Barry Ingram, 90, of Tifton died Thursday, August 16, 2012, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 19, 2012, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Andy Ring will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Salem Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 18, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Ingram was born on May 9, 1922 in Worth County and was the daughter of Walter Barry and Bertha Allison Barry, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert W. Ingram, Sr.; one brother; and one sister. She was a homemaker and a health caregiver. She was a former Pink Lady and was a member of Salem Baptist Church. She loved to read her Bible and was a very independent and sweet lady and was always helping others.
Mrs. Ingram is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Albert Willard Ingram, Jr. of Tifton and Lyn and Jean Ingram of Alapaha; one daughter and son-in-law Pat Ingram Bennett and her husband, Stephen of Morrow, Ohio; three sisters, Lillian Wood of Stone Mountain, Mildred Ellerbee of Tifton and Kathleen Fann of Acworth; ten grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
