Obituary

Irene M. (Marion) Fournier, 90, formerly of Manchester, died August 15, 2012 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home after a period of declining health.
She was born in Manchester on May 25, 1922 to Arthur and Nellida (Boudreau) Marion. She lived in Manchester most of her life.
Irene worked as a nurse’s aide at the former McKerley Nursing Home for many years. She had also worked at several Manchester area mills and as a babysitter at her home.
She enjoyed bowling, singing, trips to Lake Massabesic and time spent with her family. She was a deeply spiritual person and was a lifetime contributor to the Maryknoll Fathers and the Precious Blood Monastery.
She was married to Raymond L. Fournier Sr., who died in 1975. She was also predeceased by two sons, Arthur N. Fournier and Donald M. Fournier; and by three sisters, Jeannette Cloutier, Marguerite Lavigne and Gratia Fortier.
The family includes four children, Lucille Harrington and her husband, Andre, Lorraine Pilotte and her husband, Ronald, Louise Frechette and her husband, Edward and Raymond L. Fournier Jr. and his wife, Dianne, all of Manchester; 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and one great great grandson; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Sacred Heart Church, 265 So. Main St., Manchester. Rev. Maurice Lavigne, nephew of Irene, officiated. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
